About You
If you’re a creative, detail-oriented and passionate Web and Graphic Designer with a strong focus on user experience, we’d love to hear from you.
You have experience working on WordPress using the DIVI theme and bonus if you are strong in Shopify builds.
Our web designers are expected to perfectly blend good design with strong functionality and you will work directly under our very experienced Creative Director to execute on client websites and logo designs.
The Role
This will start as a casual role with approximately 10-20 hours per week with the view to grow into a full-time role.
Ideally, you’re located in Mackay, QLD so you can join us in-office, but we are open to a remote role for the right person.
You will be supporting our experienced Creative Director in delivering client websites and logo designs. You will also be responsible for delivering website audits, maintaining existing client websites and delivering Birdcage’s own marketing work.

Skills/Requirements
Currently studying, or recently graduated from formal graphic design degree or certificate.
Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Proficent in building with WordPress using DIVI theme, and Shopify
Strong understanding of responsive design and mobile-first design principles.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript is a plus.
Understanding of on-page SEO principles is also a plus.
